【音樂家的浪漫】史特勞斯/馬勒/華格納/巴爾托克

很多的音樂家，都會用才華追妻寵妻，表達愛意。所以這一篇就要分享，四個音樂家實力秀恩愛的例子。

Richard Strauss, Four Song Op.27 (1894)

Strauss創作了四首歌曲在結婚當天送給老婆（女高音）Pauline de Ahna。其中最後一首曲子Morgan，歌詞用的是John Henry Mackay的詩：

Morgon

Und morgen wird die Sonne wieder scheinen
Und auf dem Wege, den ich gehen werde,
Wird uns, die Glücklichen, sie wieder einen
Inmitten dieser sonnenatmenden Erde …
Und zu dem Strand, dem weiten, wogenblauen,
Werden wir still und langsam niedersteigen,
Stumm werden wir uns in die Augen schauen,
Und auf uns sinkt des Glückes stummes Schweigen …

Tomorrow

And tomorrow the sun will shine again
And on the path that I shall take,
It will unite us, happy ones, again,
Amid this same sun-breathing earth …
And to the shore, broad, blue-waved,
We shall quietly and slowly descend,
Speechless we shall gaze into each other’s eyes,
And the speechless silence of bliss shall fall on us …

明天

明天太陽又會再度閃耀，
我將走上的道路，
將幸運的我們再度融入在陽光中呼吸的大地。
我們緩緩地靜靜的走向沙灘和藍色的浪。
我們安靜的凝望彼此的眼睛，
沈浸在靜謐的喜悅當中⋯

Gustav Mahler, Adagietto from Symphony 5 (1901-02)

Mahler在遇到他的老婆Alma，直到他們結婚的時候，Mahler正在寫第五號交響曲，而其中的第四樂章，根據Mahler的好友Willem Mengelberg說過，隱藏著一個給他老婆Alma的浪漫訊息。甚至Mahler還在樂譜上寫著一首詩：

Richard Wagner, Siegfried Idyll (1870)

在結婚四個月後，1870年的聖誕節早晨，Wagner的第二位老婆Cosima（也是Liszt的女兒）在音樂中醒來。那天也是Colima生日的隔天。她後來在日記中回憶說到：

When I woke up I heard a sound, it grew ever louder, I could no longer imagine myself in a dream, music was sounding, and what music! After it had died away, in to me with the five children and put into my hands the score of his “symphonic birthday greeting.” I was in tears….

當我醒來的時候，我聽到一陣美妙音樂聲，我以為我還在夢裡，但越來越大的音樂聲，讓我知道，我並不是在做夢。當音樂結束後，我的五個孩子將這首「生日交響曲」的譜放在我的手中。我的眼睛充滿淚水。

這首曲子的首演是在臥室旁的樓梯上。Wagner一大早就將樂團請到了家裡，由Wagner站在樓梯的頂端親自指揮，樓梯上站了第一小提琴、第二提琴、中提琴，長笛、雙簧管，單簧管、巴松管、法國號、大提琴和低音大提琴，一共13名音樂家。所以也被稱為「樓梯的音樂」。

Bella Bartok, Piano Concerto No.3 (1945)

Bartok在創作這首曲子的時候，他知道他自己已經快死了，所以想創作這首曲子送給他老婆，鋼琴家Ditta Pasztory-Bartok，作為生日禮物。希望在Bartok過世後，Ditta可以繼續演出這首曲子賺錢，或是有人演奏的時候，他老婆能收到版權費。

可惜在他完成這首協奏曲之前，他就去世了，還剩下最後17個小節還未完成。最後是由他的好友兼學生，Tibor Serly，完成。
